How would you describe yourself?
I’m a pretty shy individual, but once you get to know me, I am pretty outgoing. I’m more of an “indoor” type of person who loves to read books, listen to awesome music, watch movies, and just hanging out and having fun.
How would you describe your blog?
My blog is geared mainly toward YA paranormal. But I also love to read these other YA genres: romance, dystopian, thriller, contemporary, horror (mainly ghost stories).
What inspired you to start reviewing books?
I’ve loved reading books ever since I was little. Just recently I’ve started following other YA book review blogs, and was immediately interested in the operation. My main inspiration was from Kristi at The Story Siren, and hope that one day my blog will be as widely popular with loyal readers as hers.
Do you prefer chocolate or vanilla?
Chocolate. No contest.
What blogs do you visit most?
The Story Siren, Books With Bite, Pure Imagination, Candace’s Book Blog, Moonlight Book Reviews.
What one blogging tip do you have for new bloggers?
New Book Bloggers HAVE to know basic html. When I first started to find new designs and trying to add this and that on my blog, it took forever. Knowing html is crucial for any type of changes a blogger wants to make on their site.
How long have you been blogging?
Since May of 2011
What do you hope for the future of your blog?
As stated before, I hope to have a growing community of followers who share and love the same type of novels that I love to read, with loyal followers and to gain new friends.
What one thing are you OCD about, in general?
How much time do you have? Just kidding. I’m pretty OCD about chores, i.e. cleaning dishes, doing laundry. I normally don’t blog before all that other stuff is done.
What do you consider your three most effective means of promotion?
* becoming a tour host, and hosting giveaways on your blog
*Joining crucial sites, i.e. Book Blogs, Twitter, Goodreads, etc.
* adding your signature to e-mails with your blog’s information: Blog name, and links
What is the most creative way you have promoted your blog?
I’m not really sure it was creative, but it really helped when I got together with a bunch of bloggers especially with a well known blogger and hosted part of a giveaway.
What would you do differently if you had to start over?
I think I would have made my blog’s http address easier and more in tune with my blog’s name.
What was the best thing before sliced bread?
Curling up with a good book in a warm comfy bed with a good book!
