Out With the Old
I’m not so big on making “resolutions” but I do like to take the end of the year as an opportunity to re-evaluate and decide what I need to do to achieve goals.
One way I do that is figuring out what is working, but the time could be used more productively. One of my main goals for next year is to finish off two manuscripts that are at 75% and write at least one more, as well as outline 3 or 4 others.
Truthfully, I set that up to field all the requests I was receiving for free promotion. While it seems to be working well as a quick, free way to promote your book to 10k people, it’s not my number one priority. In fact, it doesn’t even make it to the top ten.
I have finished submitting the requests that were in the RBR inbox and have now taken down the form. You can still submit, but you will have to register and create the post yourself. I will log in to approve so there’s no spam, but I’m no longer accepting email requests for that website.
The related Goodreads group will remain the same, so you can share your book information there as well.
Here’s to new things!
What one thing do you plan to ditch in the New Year?
