Blind Rabid Monkeys
I have been approached on many occasions to sell ad space on this blog, but I dislike the idea. Not that there’s anything wrong if other people generate income with advertising, but it just isn’t a route I want to take ROTD.
That being said, I am giving away four weeks of sidebar space. As there will only be one winner, there’s no worries about the blog becoming cluttered. Not to mention, the winner won’t be drowned out by other third party ads. So I think this will be fun.
The good news is, because of the great feedback I’ve had about it, I’ve decided to run this contest every month in 2013. That means there will be 12 more chances to win. And yes, you can enter even if you have won in the past.
The other good news is, we are just about to break 85,000 views so far this month. I plan to keep the momentum, so the giveaway will over deliver.
This opportunity is open to both authors who would like to feature their book, and bloggers who would like to feature their blog. Entering is easy, and there’s no cost except a few minutes to click a couple of buttons. So you really have nothing to lose.
But what’s all this about? As I mentioned in a previous post, I plan to launch a new website next year which will be dedicated to my own writings. The foundation has been laid, but I am waiting on graphics for it. Me with Photoshop is like watching a blind rabid monkey dance ballet. Comical and frightening.
So in the mean time, I have built the temporary “My Secret” page to host giveaways and begin sharing some aspects of the Dark universe. When the new website goes live, there will be even more things to do and, of course, win. The fun part is, most of that stuff will be geared towarding helping you with your own work as well–because that’s how this community rolls
