How Do You Spend Christmas Eve?

I am off to consume delightfully unhealthy things, build a Gingerbread house where all the participants are probably too old to be doing such things, light things on fire, and listen to songs like the one below.

It’ll be awesome.

    Christmas Eve is always more chaotic than the actual holiday for us. Off to the inlaws where Santa arrives “early”. Buffet style dinner with the extended family, kid’s open gifts, and we try to keep them from destroying the very expensive decorations my MIL has temptingly within reach. It’s fun, but a but crazy!

    Our Christmas Eve was very tame. With my 8yo daughter off at her dad’s so she could wake up with her baby brother & see what Santa brought, my hubz & my 19yo son & I were kind of bored. Nights without the little one are quiet & blah. So the three of us stayed up till 2am playing Pokemon Sorry. If you have not played the Pokemon version of this board game, then you have not experienced the AWESOMENESS that is Sorry to its fullest. We ended up having a blast, but even so, we enjoyed having my daughter return home to us the next afternoon.
