Thoughts On Winter

This topic came from Kharisma Rhayne as part of her 365 day blogging challenge.

I didn’t make it through the entire month of it, let alone a year.

It’s still a lot of fun, and I’m still going to post as many of them as possible.

Also, it’s never too late to join, so you should give it a try as well!

Being that I live in the desert, my opinion of winter is unsettling optimistic.

Instead of:

“Ew, Frosty vomited all over the yard!”

or

“School has been canceled, so now I have to find something to entertain the kids”

it’s more like:

“Yay, we can turn off the AC, you know, that contraption directly linked to the bank account!”

and

“I can step outdoors without my face melting off, and no, I don’t mean makeup.”

Laugh all you want, but it’s the only time of the year I can dig out the long sleeves without risking heat stroke walking from the car to the grocery store.

Hey, I can even turn off the heater (novelty) and wear cozy pajamas.

So, yes, I like “winter”.

68 degrees? Put a fake log on the fake fireplace and heat up some cocoa. Let’s do this winter thing!

What is your favorite thing about winter?

LoL, great post! I think I hate almost everything about winter. It’s just never been my thing.

Love winter from Christmas Eve through Valentines Day…after that winter goes down hill. I am a fall baby!

You must be somewhere near me. Weather in the winter means most days have highs in the 70′s to 80′s and a few cloudy and really cool days (highs in the 50′s) in five years I’ve not seen anything under 30.
Winter means I can open doors, enjoy nice weather for a change.
